Envelopes are telescoping (2 pieces). Each piece can be used as 2 separate envelopes or together as a varying size envelope (cf. a mirror box). E.g. the small envelope can be used as a single envelope varying from 17" by 20" to 34" by 20" or 2 separate envelopes of 17" by 20".
 
         

Carriers come as a single piece with shoulder handle and a flap for closing.

Without its envelope I would've had to replace the frame. With the envelopes, I can stack paintings in my trunk and not worry about the hardware hurting the adjacent frames.

I love these fabric envelopes. I have been redoing my art storage, and getting all my stuff together to start the new year. Have decided I would like to get more envelopes and use then not just for carrying but also for storage.
